At the heart of our family-owned funeral home is Amanda Bennett, a woman with a deep passion for serving others.Together with her husband, Rex, they began Bennett Funeral & Cremation with a vision to offer personalized and locally owned funeral services. With a nurturing and caring nature, Amanda's background as a teacher and mother of four has prepared her for the role of supporting families during their time of need. Her dedication and commitment to providing comfort and guidance to those who have lost a loved one is evident in all aspects of our funeral home.
Amanda's love for teaching extends beyond the traditional classroom. She has worked with adults with special needs at Pamlico Community College and was named Adjunct Instructor of the Year in 2019 at Craven Community College. Currently, she serves as a teacher and counselor at New Bern Christian Academy, where she helps high school students plan for their future academic endeavors.
In addition to her work in education and at the funeral home, Amanda is an active member of Highland Park Christian Church, where she leads the Children's Ministry. She also enjoys traveling, particularly to her family's favorite destination, Disney World.
At Bennett Funeral & Cremation, Amanda is dedicated to providing a comforting presence for families during their time of grief. She is hands-on in all aspects of our services, making sure that every family receives the support and attention they deserve. Her genuine compassion and empathy shine through in every interaction with both families and our staff.
We are honored to have Amanda as an irreplaceable part of our family and our team. Her unwavering commitment to serving others and her warm, caring nature are what sets us apart and makes us the trusted choice of so many in our community.
