Thomas Jaskal

Thomas Edward Jaskal, 82, passed away at his home in New Bern, North Carolina March 22, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the son of Joseph and Bernice
(Zolubos) Jaskal. Tom married Janice (Strout) Jaskal on May 2, 1970.

He was a loving husband, father and
grandfather who raised his family in Londonderry, New Hampshire retiring to New Bern in 2014. He was a strong and steady influence on his family and friends, always happy to lend a
helping hand. He was proud of his service in the Navy and his 30-year career at IBM, but will be remembered most for his devotion to his family and friends. Tom was an ardent New England sports fan who loved boating and fishing with his son. He had an innate ability to build and fix most anything and delighted in wood working, especially building decks with and for family and friends.
He and Janice enjoyed traveling and spent many happy winters with new friends in St. Joe Beach, Florida.

Tom is survived by Janice, his wife of 55 years their children and spouses, Karen and David Leonard, Joseph and Amanda Jaskal and Elizabeth and Joshua Elrod along with his four grandchildren Matthew, Benjamin, Amalia and Sawyer. Tom came from a large family and is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Barbara Marcinkevich, Virginia Teasdale, Kathleen
Cohane, Dorothy and William Bartlett, Ruth Raymond and his sister-in-law Gail Jaskal, their children and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brother James Jaskal, his sister Patricia Danahy and his brothers-in-law John Marcincevich, Clyde Teasdale, William Cohane and Jack Danahy.

His family is planning a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to CarolinaEast Cancer Center.
