Patrick Dostick, Jr.

Patrick John Dostick, Jr., was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, the son of Patrick John Dostick, Sr., and Cynthia A. (Bowman) Wagner. Patrick attended and graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School. He attended the Pennsylvania State Police Academy and also served two years in the Army National Guard from 1983 to 1985, achieving the rank of Sergeant (E-5) as a Military Police officer.

Patrick spent most of his life in Pennsylvania, but for the past 15 years, he resided in North Carolina. While living in North Carolina, he worked as a Territory Sales Manager for PetroChoice Lubrication Solutions.

In his spare time, Patrick was very active in the community as a sports official. He proudly wore the “White Cap,” something he took great pride in, and he was exceptionally good at what he did. He was a member of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, Crystal Coast Officials Association, and East Carolina Officials Association. While living in Pennsylvania, he was also a member of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) from 1995 to 2007.

Patrick also enjoyed coaching football. While residing in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, he coached at the midget level and later served as an assistant coach at Lourdes Regional High School in Coal Township, Pennsylvania, when the school still had a football program.

Patrick loved life, his Labrador Retrievers, wildlife, birds, and always had a fish tank going in his home. He enjoyed spending time with his fellow officials, going out to eat, watching the Eagles, and visiting his family in Pennsylvania.

Everyone who knew Pat loved him. He was one of the funniest people to talk to and always had a joke or something lighthearted to share. He had a wealth of knowledge and was someone people could always turn to when they had a question or needed help. Patrick was a giver who deeply appreciated and valued the people who stayed close to him.

Patrick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was an amazing father, son, and friend.

Patrick is survived by his mother, Cynthia A. Wagner of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and her spouse; his daughter, Sherrie Santor of Paxinos, Pennsylvania, and her spouse; three grandchildren, Aden, Callie, and Brennan; and his son, David Patrick Dostick of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, who resided with his girlfriend, Missy, at the time of Patrick’s passing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick John Dostick, Sr.; his son, Michael Patrick Dostick; and his son, Matthew Patrick Dostick.

Services will remain private for immediate family members at this time.
