Patricia "Ann" Boyette Brown

–

New Bern, North Carolina

Patricia "Ann" Boyette Brown, born on May 30, 1941, in Jones Co., North Carolina, was called to her heavenly home on October 6, 2025. The youngest of seven children, Ann was born in the historical "Simmons House" and grew up on a bustling farm where she learned the importance of family, faith, and hard work. She was a generous soul, a dedicated worker, and a thoughtful, loving woman. As a longtime member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, her faith remained a constant guiding light in her life.

In the heart of the Brices Creek community, Ann created a life filled with love and joy with her husband, Jim Brown. Together they raised their family, with Ann primarily serving as a homemaker and driving a school bus while passionately participating in school activities and leading Girl Scout Troops. Her love for the outdoors was evident in the beautiful flowers and vegetables she grew in her yard, reflecting her nurturing spirit. Once her children were grown, Ann began working as a sales clerk with Belk Department Store, always enjoying assisting customers and making new acquaintances. Her dedicated service and dedication were recognized, showcasing her as a beloved figure in the community.

Ann's life was a testament to her values - family, faith, and hard work. Her home was a place of warmth, filled with the aroma of her down-home country cooking, and the sounds of loved ones gathering. She leaves behind a rich legacy for her daughters, Terry Rolison (Milton Hooker Rolison) and Cathy Brown (Kip Everette). Ann was also a beloved "Memaw" to her grandchildren, Erica Latham (Justin), Kelly Rolison (Jamie Moore) and great grandchildren, Carlie Rouse (Raegan), Kyndalynn Latham, and Eason Latham. She also leaves behind her dearly loved kitty cats. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, James "Jim" Brown; parents, James Benjamin Boyette and Delilah Rhodes Boyette; as well as her four sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00am at Highland Park Christian Church, 905 Carolina Avenue, Trent Woods, NC 28562, followed by the funeral service at noon with Pastor Greg Meadows officiating.

May we all remember Ann for her generous heart, her dedicated service to her family and community, and her unwavering faith. We invite you to share your memories and upload photos to the memorial page, as we celebrate and remember her remarkable life. May her spirit live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
