Lisa Hawk, born Lisa Ann Allison on August 7, 1965, in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on June 29, 2024, in New Bern, North Carolina. A loving, compassionate, funny, and generous soul, Lisa lived a life full of laughter, love, and service to others. She was an avid lover of horses and lighthouses, which formed a significant part of her personal life. Her home was a joyous display of lighthouse collectibles, a testament to her passionate nature.
Lisa's career in hospitality was both fulfilling and successful. As a manager of the Roadhouse at the marine corps base at Cherry Point, she made a significant impact, managing the kitchen and serving. Her generosity and kindness were evident in her everyday interactions, making her a beloved figure in her community. Lisa's dedication and hard work in her profession were recognized and lauded, reflecting her commitment to excellence.
A devout Christian, Lisa was an active member of the New Life Church. She lived her life based on the scripture, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). Her light certainly did shine bright, illuminating the lives of those around her with her humor, kindness, and compassion. What mattered most to Lisa was her family and her beloved dog, Gus. She will be fondly remembered by her husband Keith Hawk; her children, Isaac Lilley, Carrie Bird (Jay), and Candace Guard; stepson, Justin Hawk (Brittany); thirteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Todd Allison (Lisa) and several nieces and nephews. Her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was unparalleled.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Carl Allison and mother, Wilma Allison, as well as her stepson, Christopher Hawk. Her spirit, infectious laughter, and the warmth of her love will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at New Life Church, followed by a service to celebrate Lisa's life beginning at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Scott Coghill officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lisa's name to New Life Church or to VFW Post 2514. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses and staff at CarolinaEast Medical Center for the loving care they provided to Lisa during her last days.
As we celebrate the beautiful life of Lisa Hawk, we encourage everyone to share their memories and upload photos of Lisa to the memorial page. In this way, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts and lives.
