New Bern, North Carolina
It is with a profound sense of both sorrow and gratitude that we acknowledge the passing of Linda Kay Tyndall, who left us on the 23rd of November, 2025. Born on the 13th of February, 1945 in Clinton, NC, Linda Kay Tyndall (née Vinson) was a true North Carolinian, who carried the values of love, loyalty, and dedication throughout her life. Her light was extinguished too soon, but the warmth of her love continues to glow in the hearts of those who knew her.
Linda was a loving homemaker, who had a knack for making her home a haven for all who stepped across its threshold. After growing up in Roseboro, North Carolina, she moved to New Bern in 1973, and it was here that she truly found her niche. Her loyal dedication to her family and friends made her New Bern residence a nucleus of love and laughter. Linda took immense joy in watching her favorite TV shows, "I Love Lucy" and "Golden Girls", a pastime often shared with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her pets, both cats and dogs, were also recipients of her boundless affection and loyalty.
Linda was a woman of steadfast faith. As we mourn her loss, we are comforted by the verses of 2 Corinthians 5:1, "For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands." Her stubborn determination was a testament to her strength, and those who knew her best would agree that it was one of her most defining attributes. This strength is now carried forward by her son, Jeff Tyndall, who survives her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Miles and Essie Vinson.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, Jackie Tyndall; her parents, Miles and Essie Vinson; and her siblings Alice, Barbara Ann, Dottie, and her twin sister, Faye. She is survived by her children, Ray Tyndall, Brenda Stotesbury, Jeremy Tyndall, and Jeff Tyndall, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
As we bid farewell to Linda, we invite you to celebrate her journey with us. Share your cherished memories of Linda on the memorial page, upload photos that capture her spirit, and let us all remember her the way she would have wanted us to - with love, laughter, and warmth. May her soul rest in eternal peace and may her love continue to guide us.
Linda's Memorial Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Highland Park Christian Church - 905 Carolina Ave, Trent Woods, NC 28562.
