Jessie Broadway

–

Dover, North Carolina

Jessie Edward Broadway, a dedicated and courageous soul, was born on November 21, 1962, in Craven Co., North Carolina. He spent his entire life in his beloved hometown, Fort Barnwell, where he was raised and later built his own life. His heart was deeply rooted in the soil of his family's farm, where he dedicated his life to the cultivation of the land and the nurturing of crops and livestock. Jessie was not just a farmer, but an adventurer at heart, exploring the vast expanses of rural North Carolina, hunting, fishing, and reveling in the beauty of nature. His adventurous spirit also found expression in his love for mechanics. If it had gears, cogs, wheels, or a combustible engine, Jessie could fix it with an admirable finesse.

Jessie's life was marked by compassion, a quality that was evident in his dedication to his family and his work. He was a farmer par excellence, tending to tobacco, corn, beans, sweet potatoes, pigs, and everything else that was part of the farm. His deep connection to the land and his diligent work contributed significantly to the community's agricultural prosperity. As he spent his days turning the soil, planting seeds, and harvesting crops, Jessie's life was a testament to the courage and dedication that define the life of a farmer. His compassion radiated in his interactions with everyone he encountered, and his life was a living testament to how much good one person can do.

Jessie spent 42 years of with his loving wife, Teresa, making their home in Fort Barnwell, North Carolina. His love for his family was his guiding light, illuminating his path and providing him with unending joy and fulfillment.
