Vanceboro, North Carolina
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Charlie B. Anderson, Jr., a loving and generous man, who departed this life on April 25, 2025. Born on March 2, 1962, Charlie was a lifelong resident of Vanceboro, North Carolina, and a beacon of reliability and thoughtfulness in his community.
Charlie was a skilled house painter by trade, a profession he retired from in 2019. His expert brush strokes colored countless homes, but it was his vibrant personality that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A man of simple pleasures, Charlie had a deep love for the outdoors; hunting and fishing were his solace, his passion. He found peace in the stillness of the woods and the calm of the water. His generous spirit was reflected in his actions; he always had a kind word, a helping hand, or a thoughtful gesture for those around him.
Above all, what mattered most to Charlie was his family. Loving father to Gwen Carter, doting grandfather to Jackson Carter, and cherished brother to Jimmy, Betty, Linda, and Kerrie, Charlie was a pillar of strength and love for his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Sr. and Geneva Anderson, and his brother, John Anderson. His love for his family was boundless, his faith in them unwavering. He stands as an enduring symbol of love, generosity, thoughtfulness, and reliability that will continue to inspire his loved ones.
We encourage all who knew Charlie to leave memories and upload photos to his memorial page, helping us to remember and celebrate his remarkable life. His story is not just one of loss, but of love and generosity that touched many lives. In sharing our memories, we keep his spirit alive, remembering the joy and love he brought into our lives.
